Standards of behavior for all members, guests, and event participants.
Our Commitment
Broomstones Curling Club is dedicated to fostering the sport of curling while building a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive community. We expect all members, guests, and participants to contribute to a positive environment both on and off the ice.

Expected Conduct
On the Ice
All participants are expected to:
- Practice good sportsmanship, including pre- and post-game handshakes
- Follow the rules and spirit of the game
- Respect opponents, teammates, and officials
- Be ready to play and help keep games moving
- Maintain proper etiquette (positioning, movement, and care of the ice)
- Use appropriate, clean footwear and equipment
- Prioritize safety at all times
Off the Ice
In the club and at events:
- Foster a friendly, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere
- Use appropriate language and behavior
- Respect shared spaces, equipment, and facilities
- Avoid disruptive or unsafe behavior, including excessive intoxication
- Follow all club policies related to safety and conduct
Prohibited Behavior
The following behaviors are not tolerated:
- Harassment, bullying, or intimidation
- Discrimination of any kind
- Sexual harassment or inappropriate physical conduct
- Verbal or visual conduct that creates a hostile or unwelcoming environment
- Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith
- Theft, fraud, or misuse of club resources
Community Expectations
All members and guests are expected to:
- Contribute positively to the club environment
- Respect others and the facility
- Raise concerns when issues arise
Reporting Concerns
We take all concerns seriously. If you experience or witness behavior that does not align with this Code of Conduct, we encourage you to report it to club leadership.
All reports will be handled thoughtfully and appropriately.
Enforcement
Broomstones Curling Club reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to violations of this Code of Conduct, which may include removal from events or the facility, suspension, or termination of participation or membership.
Our Goal
Our goal is simple: to ensure that everyone who walks through our doors feels welcome, safe, and excited to be part of the Broomstones community.
