Curling for a Cure

• Purpose: Supporting Huntington’s disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that impacts movement, cognition, and mental health. It's often described as a combination of ALS, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s diseases, all manifesting simultaneously.

DEI Committee Social Networking, Food & Clinic: All members are encouraged to join this community building clinic focused on social networking, food, and curling delivery/sweeping instruction put on by the Broomstones Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee. The clinic will feature Athlete Ally, 3x US National champion, and Broomstones member Monica Walker. Come meet new people, have some appetizers, and learn quick tips for your delivery & sweeping technique. Date: 01March2025 6:30-9PM. Cost: $20 per person. Registration Open: 16Feb-28Feb2025. Join us for a Saturday evening of pick-up curling! Add additional preferred position or playing partner in the registration comments. Entry fee includes pizza, and there might even be some crud.

Draw will begin at 6:00pm. Please arrive by 5:45 for team selection.

For Broomstones Members and their +1s* 

Cocktails start at 4:30pm and starting around 5:00pm we'll graze on hearty bites and enjoy the awards and recognition of our fellow members. Around 6:00pm we'll quickly get through the Club's Business in time for the running of the ponies in the Derby around 6:45pm.

It's that time of the year: name tag ordering time! Name tags are available for order through October 1.  

Remember: You can modify the text of your name tag so that your name & pronouns (she/her, he/his, etc.) can help others understand how to refer to you and creates an inclusive environment for everyone to share their pronouns too.

Note to New Members: If you are a member of the NCTP (New Curler Training Program) or first time Broomstones member, you do NOT need to pay for a name tag as one is included as part of your dues. However, if you wish to buy an additional name tag, you may.
