Curling Open House – Where you can Throw Rocks at Houses

Curling! You've seen it on the Olympics, talked about it at the office water cooler, or heard from friends that it looks like a blast.  Now it is time to give it a try!  Grab family and friends, come to our open house, and experience the fun of curling first-hand.  Curling is an Olympic sport popular around the world that is growing in popularity in the United States.  Take one part chess (strategy), one part billiards (angles), the finesse of golf (making shots), one part bocce (scoring) put them on ice, and you have curling!

When:  Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 12:00 pm – 5:20 pm

Where: Broomstones Curling Club – 1 Curling Lane, Wayland, MA

Entry: $20 (age 13+); $10 (ages 8 to 12)  Ages 8 and above are welcome. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required for entry. Masks required.

Parking: off-site, 321 Commonwealth Rd, Wayland (Bright Horizons). Please do not attempt to park at Broomstones Curling Club.

What to do once you have your time slot:  Parking for open house guests is available off-site (a short drive to the club) on April 3, 2022.  We will have shuttle(s) to transport you to and from Broomstones.  Please plan to arrive at the parking lot by the check-in time you select at registration.  (Registration check-in times are the time when you will check in at the Parking Lot – it is not the time when you check-in at the club.)  Due to the popularity the Olympics has brought to the sport, we will have quite a few visitors that day.

What to wear: Wear loose fitting, warm clothes (gloves, sweater/sweatshirt, etc) and clean, rubber-soled sneakers, and we'll take care of the rest (equipment, instruction, fun)!

What to bring: Just yourself and proof of vaccination – no tickets are required, your reservation will be on a list at Check-in.  Everyone, no matter what age, needs a waiver. We will have them on hand, but to save time you may print from our web page, sign, and bring them with you.
